STUDLEY PARK HOUSE HAUNTED - NEW SOUTH WALES

GHOST AUDIO FROM STUDLEY PARK HOUSE

The Studley Park property has a history that goes back 200 years.

The Studley Park property has a history that goes back 200 years.

Governor Lachlan Macquarie granted the property as 2 parcels of 100 acres each to John Condron and William Parrott in 1810. After several changes in ownership it was purchased as 1 parcel by W.C Payne in 1888 that went about building Studley Park House, so named after Studley Park near Ripon in Yorkshire, England.

In 1891, Payne was obliged to sell the property to Francis Buckle, the Architect of the house, to cover his debts.
In 1902 the property became the Camden Grammar School after it was sold to Dr Henry Oliver.

Until here everything is going good. But the locals complained that the spirts of two adolscent boys would play here everyday. It was said that in 1909, when this property was used as Camden Grammar School , a boy unexpectedly drowned in the nearby dam in 1909 while playing with his class mates. His school mates feared and were unable to save him. His dead body was preserved in the school cellar until it was time for burial.

When the school house was transformed into a residence, a 13 year old boy died inside of appendicitis.
It was said that the spirit of the boy who died at first had taken the spirit of the second boy and it was said that they play in the house everyday and some rare apparitions are also seen in this house.

Many paranormalists went there and found strange experiences. The one you can see in the video above.
The new two-hour ‘Spirit of Studley Park’ tours are for brave adults only and run every second Friday night at Studley Park House, considered one of the most haunted houses in Australia and the subject of recent TV shows and documentaries about paranormal activity.

“We’ve heard footsteps, voices and whispers when there was no-on there and one crew member was scratched, touched and pinched,” documentary producer Rob Kerr told the Campbelltown and Macarthur Advertiser last month after filming at Studley Park as part of a ‘Ghozt Crew’ documentary on haunted houses in NSW for Unreel Productions. “It’s a typically haunted house and there’s such a chilling energy to the place.”

Built in 1889 and now part of the Camden Golf Club course, the grand Victorian-style Studley Park House has been variously used as a private home, grammar school and army training facility. Several people, including children, have died at the house during its colourful history and the mansion has been the subject of many medium investigations and also featured in the reality TV show, Scream Test.

Visitors to the house regularly report strange sounds and unexplained activity. Studley Park House is one of a string of historic mansions built in the colonial era in the Macarthur region around Camden and Campbelltown.  Its really a good haunted place and though there is no much information on this house but yeah we can have strange experiences. But I can telll you that there is something strange happened in this house and I can foresee that . So Paranormal activists find its better to start their research there.

The property continued its life as a school until 1933 when the school closed and it was sold for $4,900 to Arthur Gregory, Sales Manager of Twentieth Century Fox, who went about refurbishing the house in the Art Deco style.
