DEADLY MONTE VISTA HOTEL

Here we came up with a freaky story of a haunted hotel in Arizona. Hotel Monte Vista was built in 1927 and boasted over 70 rooms. It is one of the tallest buildings in Flagstaff. Many celebrities visited this place and John Wayne, one of the famous actor also complained of the paranormal experience he faced through.

PHANTOM BELL BOY :
There is a legend of Phantom bell boy which is very famous ghost story. It says that a ghostly boy will knock the doors and call out “room service”. But to the surprise, when guests open the door they don’t find anyone outside.

Many guests complained that they have seen a bell boy outside the room 210 which is known as Zane Grey Suite. Actor John Wayne said that he saw bell boy during a stay at the Monte Vista. He said that it seemed friendly.

ROBBER DEATH :

Another legend is about the gang who robbed the Flagstaff bank and wished to celebrate at the Monte Vista Lounge. It is said that one of the men was dead during the robbery and died in the hotel’s lounge. It is said that the same ghost haunts the place who appears in the form of a hazy mist. Sometimes people complain that the drinks and bar stools move on their own. This robbery occurred around 1970 where the robber was dead.

LADIES DEATH IN THE ROOM :

In the early 1940’s, two prostitutes visited a room 306 which is known as Gary Cooper Suite. An unknown person killed these women and threw their bodies out from the third storey window. Guests staying in this room feel like they are being watched. Many male guests have trouble breathing and feel like an unknown hand is covering their mouths and making it difficult for to breath.

DEADLY CHAIR : 

Room Number 305 as well is very famous among the haunted rooms in the Monte Vista Hotel. Many guests claimed that they see an old woman sitting near the window in a rocking chair though there are no one in the room. Staff says that the chair rocks on its own and slides in the room. It was rumored that the old woman is the team boarder of the room and spent many hours in the chair before death. So, she is said to be responsible for the events happening in that room.

People also complained that they experienced a ghostly child, a dancing couple, a baby and a meat man who roam in the hotel. Many people observed the telephone ringing continuously in the lobby and knock things down. Hotel avoids putting pets in the room because dogs behave wrongly with fear and tear up the room.

 

Guests complain of hearing the coughing and other strange noises coming from the empty room. One day, a man made some repairs to the room and turned off the light and left. When he was back after 5 minutes, to his terror, he found the light was on and the bed linens stripped and the televison was on.
